Panero grew up in Kentucky. While attending her 25th Kentucky
Derby, she was marketing her first book, Portraits in Roses, an
art illustrated book about the Kentucky
Winners, and published by McGraw Hill. Ms. Panero worked Special

and the Middle East. She is currently working on a series of
children's books, The adventures of Spacey The Turtle (or
